About Gardeningwell

Growing with Nature in Ireland

Gardeningwell began as a simple idea during lockdown — to share what we were growing and encourage others to do the same.

One spring evening, sitting in the greenhouse with a glass of wine, Ciarán received a message that changed everything. A local woman had seen his videos and offered the use of a long-forgotten Victorian walled garden in County Meath.

Inside its ten-foot brick walls were fruit trees, old glasshouses, and space enough to start again. What began as a family project between Ciarán and his sons, Zack and Sam, became a place of learning and community — a living classroom for biodiversity.

Today, Gardeningwell has grown into Ireland’s largest multi-platform voice for wildlife-friendly gardening, sharing practical ways to garden sustainably while inspiring others to make space for nature in their own communities.

Our work spans local projects, school gardens and FreeTrees.ie collaborations, alongside weekly videos and posts reaching more than 120,000 followers across six platforms.

Every garden, no matter how small, can help restore Ireland’s biodiversity.
